Safety Analysis
Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract is generally regarded as safe for topical cosmetic use when formulated within standard concentration ranges. It has a long history of use in dermocosmetic and botanical formulations with a low incidence of irritation or sensitization. Due to its naturally occurring tannins and organic acids, very high concentrations may cause mild irritation in extremely sensitive skin types, particularly in leave-on products. Proper formulation control, pH adjustment, and compatibility testing are recommended. No significant phototoxic or systemic toxicity concerns have been associated with topical application.
