Safety Analysis
Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate is widely regarded as safe for cosmetic use and is well tolerated across a broad range of skin and scalp types. Toxicological evaluations and in-use studies demonstrate low irritation and sensitization potential, even in leave-on contact scenarios typical of facial cleansing. It is biodegradable, exhibits low aquatic toxicity relative to traditional surfactants, and is compatible with sensitive-skin formulations. As with all surfactants, irritation risk may increase at excessively high concentrations or in improperly balanced systems; therefore, appropriate formulation design and pH control are recommended. No evidence of comedogenicity or systemic toxicity has been reported in cosmetic applications.
