How It Works

Like other inorganic pigments, Manganese Violet works physically: its insoluble particles sit on the surface and selectively absorb and reflect light to produce their characteristic violet color, without dissolving into the formula. Its mineral nature gives it good stability and coverage.

Formulating with Manganese Violet

Manganese Violet is an oil- and water-insoluble pigment that is dispersed (milled or wetted) into the formula, used at the level needed for the target shade in eye, face, nail and lip color. Note: it is not stable in strongly acidic systems. Observe good manufacturing and preservation practice, and use only cosmetic-approved pigment grades.
