How It Works

As a nonionic surfactant, C12-15 Pareth-12 has a water-loving head and an oil-loving tail, so it gathers at oil–water interfaces, lowering surface tension and wrapping tiny oil droplets so they disperse and stay suspended in water — the basis of both solubilization and emulsification.

C12-15 Pareth-12 is used in the water phase at low levels to solubilize fragrance/oils or support an emulsion; adjust to the oil load and desired clarity. Observe good manufacturing and preservation practice.
